ScanHawk for Microsoft 365
Checks where a link really goes before you click — in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
This is the add-in's hosting origin. Office loads the task pane from here; there is nothing to sign in to and nothing else to browse. If you are installing the add-in, you need one of the manifest files below.

Install for yourself
- Download the manifest file you need from the table above.
- Outlook: open aka.ms/olksideload, choose My add-ins, then Add a custom add-in → Add from File, and pick the file. It appears in Outlook on the web and the Outlook desktop app.
- Word, Excel or PowerPoint: on the Home tab choose Add-ins → More Add-ins → My Add-ins → Upload My Add-in, and pick the file.
Custom add-ins are a Microsoft 365 work or school feature; an administrator can also disable them. If the option is missing, that is why.
Install for an organisation
Microsoft 365 admin center → Settings → Integrated apps → Upload custom apps, with manifest.json.
What leaves the mailbox or the file
For each link: its address and the visible text of that link. Nothing else — no message text, subject, sender or cell values. The full statement is in the ScanHawk Privacy Policy, section 5.
